# How do I print and sign?

Print the blank, wet-ink sign, then upload; link out for state rules.

After your details and document choices are set:

1. Open the document walk from [Your documents](https://app.wearabledocs.com/instruments).
2. Confirm what the blank says.
3. Print it. It is filled with your name and state.
4. Sign in wet ink.
5. Complete any witness or notary steps your situation requires.
6. Upload the signed pages. See [How do I upload?](https://wearabledocs.com/help/documents/upload).

## Witnesses and notaries

Rules differ by state and by who holds the pen. The guidance that prints with the instrument, and [your state’s page](https://wearabledocs.com/states) on the marketing site, are the place for that. Do not rely on a chatbot summary of witness counts.

Two adult witnesses cannot weaken a refusal you signed yourself in states that only ask for a signed record, but that is not the same as saying every state has the same rule.
