Prices are one-time. Nothing here renews, and none of it is required — the wallet card prints at home for nothing, ten to a sheet.

Also

## The printed wallet card, $25

A plastic card the size of a driver’s licence, carrying the same code. Posted free and tracked. You can also print your own, free, forever — the specification and a ready-made sheet are in your account the day you open it.

Why these shapes

## The code is square, so the metal has to be

A scannable code needs 17 mm across, and 14 mm is the floor below which no engraver can help. That rules out the thin bars and watch plates other medical IDs use: they carry engraved *text*, and text reads at any height. Ours has to be read by a phone camera, in bad light, by someone who has never seen one before.

[The full engraving specification](https://wearabledocs.com/engraving) is published before you buy anything, so you can hand it to your own engraver and check.

Getting one

## The account comes first

What is engraved is a code that reaches *your* record, so the record has to exist before the metal is marked. Start a free account, fill in your details, and order from inside it — the code on the piece is the one already on your page.
