Pay for your own record
Move your record off someone else's plan, or onto one, and pay for it yourself.
If someone put your record on their household plan, your page depends on their payment. If their card fails, your page comes down with theirs, and there is nothing you can do about it because you cannot see their billing. Paying for your own record is the way out.
The same page also serves a record that is not on any plan yet: if you already have a record and need a plan for it, this is where you buy one.
What changes
Nothing but who pays.
- Same public page and same address
- Same QR code and same code on your bracelet or tag
- Same document, same contacts, same confirmation history
You do not need a new bracelet, and your card keeps working.
What it costs
One plan for one person, a year at a time. The page shows the price before you go to payment, and the payment page is Stripe's. Once the record is on a plan of your own, you can cover other people from it at the household price. Each of them signs their own document and gets their own page.
When to do it
You do not have to wait for a failure. If you would rather not depend on someone else's card, you can do it while their plan is active and your page is working.
If their plan has already lapsed, your page has stopped showing your directive. You have two ways back:
- Ask them to sort out the payment. Your page comes back as soon as they do, exactly as it was, and this costs you nothing.
- Pay for your own record, and it comes back on your plan.
What it does to the other person's plan
Their plan keeps the seat it paid for until they release it. Taking your record over does not charge them anything more and does not cancel anything of theirs.
How to start
Open Pay for your own record, or use the link on Account & billing. That link only appears when your record is on someone else's plan. If you already pay for the plan your record is on, the page sends you to Your subscription instead.
If the payment page cannot be reached, nothing has been charged and nothing about your record has changed. Try again, or write to us from Contact us.
