What documents can I create?

Refusal of anatomical gift and advance directive, and the Your documents list.

WearableDocs prepares two documents from the choices you make. You can use either or both. Each is a separate legal document: you print, sign, and upload it on its own, and you can revoke one without touching the other.

Refusal of anatomical gift

Refuses donation of your organs, eyes, and tissue, and bars anyone else from authorizing it on your behalf. It operates after death. It rests on your state’s anatomical gift act, which gives a signed refusal its own section.

You choose the state you sign it in, and whether it also refuses the brain apnea test.

Advance directive

Refuses specific treatments while you are alive, including when you cannot speak for yourself. You choose which: vaccines, donor blood, and the brain apnea test, any or all of them, and exactly how far each refusal goes.

See What choices do I make on each document?.

Your documents

Your documents lists both documents with where each one stands.

  • Start opens a document and walks you through it: your choices, a read-back, the prepared blank to print, and the upload.
  • Answer its questions appears when an advance directive still has choices to make.
  • Edit appears once a signed copy is on file.
  • Revoke takes a document off your record and your page. A signed copy already filed stays in your history.

Once a signed copy is on file, its row links to the signed copy and its digital certificate, which records when the document reached us.

Choosing is not signing

Nothing you choose in the app is signed. Legal weight is in the signed document you print, sign, and upload.

WearableDocs creates the template from the choices you make, then stores and displays the document you sign. It does not witness or verify it for you, and nothing here is legal advice.
