How much identity does the page show?
Birth year vs full date of birth on the public page.
You choose this when you set up a document on Your documents. Open a document and answer What a responder sees on the first page of its walk. You can change it later on Choose what responders see.
The choice
- Name and birth year (recommended): enough for a match without putting your full date of birth on an open page.
- Name and full date of birth: fastest match at the bedside; reveals the pair many systems use to confirm identity to anyone who scans.
What does not change
We hold your date of birth either way, because the signed document carries it and a clinician matching you against it needs consistency with what you signed. This setting changes only what the public page shows.
