How to finish setup

The five setup steps from details through upload.

On a plan, setup is a short walk. You can leave and come back; the dashboard shows what is still missing.

The steps, in order

  1. Your details
    Full legal name, date of birth, sex, and state. The blank you print needs these.

  2. Your documents
    Choose what you refuse, and how much identity the public page shows when someone scans. Choosing here is not signing. See How much identity does the page show?.

  3. Confirm your information
    A read-back of what a stranger would see, before anything goes live.

  4. Emergency contacts
    Up to three people. They confirm their own numbers (see How do I add a contact?).

  5. Upload your signed document
    The signed paper. This is what carries legal weight.

Tips

  • Print and sign after your details and document choices are right.
  • Hardware can ship before you upload. Until you upload, the public page says the record is not complete.
  • Health information is optional and can wait.
